Erin Carr, DPT

Dr. Erin Carr brings to Knight Physical Therapy a love of people and a desire to
help others return to the activities they love to do.  Her compassion for people is
one of the qualities that make her a fabulous physical therapist.  In addition,
she has a love for travel and for cooking.  Both passions have taken her around
the world and back.  These experiences have only helped to strengthen her
ability to relate and connect with people regardless of their culture or

Dr. Carr received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Mount St. Mary's
College with an emphasis on treating and rehabilitating the orthopedic patient.
She completed her undergraduate work a the University of the Pacific where
she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Science.  Teaching and
sharing her knowledge with others is also an important aspect of Dr. Carr's
belief system.  With this in mind, she has taught at Mount St. Mary's College's
Department of Physical Therapy.

Dr. Carr's doctoral dissertation involved the study of balance and various
balance test measures.  She brings this expertise to the Knight Physical
Therapy family.  Her patients are the beneficiaries of her knowledge of balance,
as it exceeds that of most physical therapists in the Southern California region.  
In addition, she has recently completed a chapter in an upcoming physical
therapy textbook focused upon the rehabilitation of patients following Lumbar
Disc Replacement surgery.

Sports and sports rehabilitation are important aspects of Dr. Carr's personal
and professional life.  In addition to her undergraduate degree being in Sports
Science, Dr. Carr was previously a competitive swimmer and continues to
swim for exercise and relaxation.  Dr. Carr also incorporates yoga and jogging
into her own personal exercise and health regime.
